We do 75–80 heart procedures every month at the high volume cardiothoracic unit of Vijaya Hospitals, which is home to the Vijaya Heart Foundation. Two associate surgeons and a co-surgeon made up my team. We carried out a full spectrum of congenital, valve, and coronary procedures. We frequently carried out Post MI VSR Repairs and LV Restoration Surgery. We also routinely performed MICS and operated on aortic aneurysms.

With two adult and two pediatric cardiac theaters, FLL is a four-theater configuration. Every day, we performed six to eight heart procedures. I was managing one operating room and doing two heart procedures a day on average. I was caring for patients from abroad, mostly from IRAQ, MUSCAT, NIGERIA, and other countries. I also handled high-risk cardiac procedures, minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, and aneurysm repairs. I had experience with LV Restoration Surgeries (SAVE operation, Dorr technique, etc.) and High Risk Coronary Revascularization (Low EF, concomitant surgeries like MVR, AVR).
